Shamima was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She moved to Alberta to obtain her Bachelor of Applied Arts from Lethbridge College. With a diverse background in human services, Shamima has assisted individuals with addiction, mental health conditions, and disabilities. Her proficiency in five languages has allowed her to work with diverse groups.

Shamima began working with DCAC in 2024 and is passionate about providing individuals with the necessary care and assistance. In her spare time, she enjoys reading or watching movies.
